From Stanford German Student Association

German culture is particularly important for the SGSA. We would like to show you and help you experience the beauty, variety, and richness of German culture, past, present, and future. We organize or attend literature readings, concerts, movies, exhibitions and more, either done by German artists or those closely related to Germany.

Equally important, these events help Germans and those interested in Germany get in touch and stay in touch. German culture is about community and Gemütlichkeit, and we think it is important that the SGSA helps to achieve and maintain this community. We go hiking or skiing together, we drink Glühwein and share a Bratwust.

We typically do this by connecting to the cultural offerings of the Bay Area, the local Goethe Institut, the German embassy, the Stanford German Department, and other interested parties.
